At Phillips 66, the Sr Advisor, Data & AI Portfolio Management plays a critical role in advancing the enterprise AI strategy across a growing portfolio of Data & AI platforms, products, and programs. This position serves as a unifying force across the portfolio, providing the project governance, execution rigor, and stakeholder alignment needed to move quickly without losing sight of strategic priorities. You’ll operate as a seasoned program and portfolio leader at the intersection of technology, strategy, and execution, translating ambiguity into roadmaps, keeping multiple workstreams on track, and communicating effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the Data & AI portfolio governance framework, including prioritization criteria, investment tracking, and health reporting across all active and pipeline Enterprise Data and AI initiatives
- Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date view of the enterprise AI portfolio — including scope, status, interdependencies, risks, and resource allocation
- Partner with the product/platform owners to align portfolio investments with enterprise AI strategy and business value outcomes
- Lead recurring portfolio reviews and SteerCo reporting, translating complex program data into clear executive-level insights and recommendations
- Drive end-to-end project management for new and inflight AI platform initiatives kicking off this month and through the remainder of the fiscal year
- Manage dependencies across technology, data, and business teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Escalate blockers proactively and facilitate resolution across cross-functional teams
- Serve as the primary point of contact for portfolio-level status across IT, business, and vendor stakeholders
- Facilitate working sessions, alignment meetings, and executive briefings with clarity and confidence
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal technology partners, platform owners, and business stakeholders
- Draft executive communications, status updates, and governance materials that are accurate, concise, and audience-appropriate
- Support the development and evolution of the enterprise Data & AI roadmap in partnership with the Digital Strategy & Innovation leadership team
- Translate high-level strategic priorities into sequenced, executable delivery plans with clear milestones and ownership
- Identify gaps in capacity, capability, or process that could impede portfolio delivery and recommend corrective actions
- Contribute to Data & AI portfolio planning cycles, including annual planning, resource modeling, and investment prioritization
What You’ll Bring – Required
- 8+ years of experience in IT portfolio management, program management, or technology strategy consulting
- 3 + experience managing complex, multi-workstream technology programs with cross-functional stakeholders
- Intermediate proficiency of agile (SAFe, Scrum) delivery methodology
- 3 + years’ experience developing and maintaining executive-level governance reporting, dashboards, and portfolio health metrics
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior and C-suite audiences
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
- Experience working in the energy, oil & gas, or industrials sector
- Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms, AI governance frameworks, or AI-enhanced program delivery models
- Proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships across IT, business, and vendor organizations
