The Senior Engineer I, Projects plays a key role in delivering capital projects and engineering solutions that support manufacturing operations. This position leads medium-sized projects from concept through execution, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects for lubricant manufacturing plants, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop detailed project plans, define deliverables, and coordinate engineering, design, and construction activities.
  • Ensure compliance with established processes, capital work procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies while providing clear reporting and performance updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure safe execution of all project activities in alignment with company safety standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, plant stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver reliable and efficient project outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to support project success and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners to ensure transparency and project alignment.
  • Track project costs, forecasts, and expenditures to meet budget requirements and optimize resource allocation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve plant performance, reliability, and productivity through technology and process improvements.
  • Support the development of annual capital programs and long-term investment planning.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and operations.

 

What You’ll Bring – Required

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • 7 or more years of engineering and/or project management experience
  • Possess or ability to obtain a TWIC card. Information can be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Travel up to 30–50% domestically to 6 P66 plants

 

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

  • Direct project engineering or project management experience supporting plant operations
  • Familiarity with SAP, AutoCAD, and project management tools
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and product management principles
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Strong leadership skills with experience guiding and mentoring project teams
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, network, and deliver results
  • Experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing or plant environment

Compensation Range 

This position has a base salary range of $140,400 - $171,60.
