The Senior Advisor III, Renewable Fuels role leads the Phillips 66 renewable processing strategy, renewable development fuels, technical aspects such as regulatory alignment, inter-related spec/quality risks, operational optimization/constraint removal, and commercialization dimensions at multiple refineries processing different renewable feedstocks for an evolving $1B business. This position operates at a senior advisory level, influencing refinery and commercial leadership while partnering across the value chain to enable compliant, value-driven growth.

 

What You'll Do

  • Lead the strategy development and execution of Phillips 66 renewable strategy, development fuels, technical, and operation of Emerging Energy co-processing initiatives.
  • Lead, own and develop the CoPro business; scale expansion to other refineries.
  • Partner with Commercial, Refining, Legal, Policy, and Emerging Energy (EE) teams to achieve business objectives, optimization plans, and commercialization efforts.
  • Represent the Renewable Fuels and Emerging Energy organizations at the strategic and corporate level, engaging senior leaders and cross-functional partners to drive value.
  • Initiate and support strategic optimization and process improvements that balance regulatory compliance, economics, and long-term positioning.
  • Support the development and execution of emerging energy opportunities, including Book & Claim solutions and low-carbon fuel initiatives, as standards evolve and become economically viable.
  • Provide data-driven analysis and specialist advice on regulatory interpretation, policy impacts, and emerging trends to inform projects, research pilot plant, and commercial offerings.
  • Lead or mentor others across the value chain to support execution and deliver results.

 

What You'll Bring – Required

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field
  • 6 or more years of relevant experience within the energy industry or a closely related field

 

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

  • Experience with renewable fuels, co-processing, refining operations or EE initiatives
  • Success in working with cross function team and leaders across multiple sites driving the same objectives for their location
  • Innovation to find solutions and drive results
  • Background in value chain optimization, commercial strategy or economic analysis
  • Familiarity with SAP or other commercial, logistics or financial systems
  • Experience leading or influencing cross-functional teams or initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience providing regulatory, policy, strategic or advisory support in complex, cross-functional environments
  • Strong understanding of business drivers, economics and value chain considerations
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, communicate complex topics clearly and lead through collaboration

 

 

Compensation Range 

This position has a base salary range of $176,400- $215,600.
