The Senior Advisor, Communications & Public Affairs (Midstream) will deliver corporate communication services and build relationships with stakeholders, customers, media, internal staff, and business associates. Develop strategies to improve the corporate image and advise management and other employees on all aspects of communication. Act as a link to external media to deliver the messages to the target audience. Write press releases, articles, and other material.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and update the planning of public relations, government relations, regulation, and registration campaigns for a specific area, aligning this with business goals.
- Manage a few public relations and government relations campaigns and negotiate service-level agreements to ensure successful campaigns and value for money. Plan, coordinate, and supervise activities relating to campaigns.
- Write drafts and edit content in line with organizational style guidelines to format and publish information on websites and in print.
- Contribute to stakeholder engagement by identifying stakeholders; by finding out their needs, issues, and concerns; and by reacting to these needs, issues, and concerns, arranging meetings and events and drafting supporting materials to promote understanding and commitment.
- Execute a public relations, government relations, regulation, and registration plan for a particular product, service, or specialty area while working within established systems.
- Execute a communications plan within established systems and procedures.
- Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards. Or identify, within the team, patterns of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and with relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, taking appropriate action to report and resolve these and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
- Edit document in line with organizational style guidelines and prepare information for publication.
- Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving queries and issues and referring to very complex or contentious issues to others.
- Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
What You’ll Bring – Required
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 or more years of communications or public affairs experience working with leadership teams on internal and external communications, as well as elected officials within the community

- Ability to identify, sequence, and resource project schedules for timely completion
- Ability to create documents using page-layout software on a personal/desktop computer
- Ability to communicate and articulate potential resolutions or strategies in a clear, compelling, and tailored manner to address specific challenges or meet organizational needs
- Ability to communicate and deliver information verbally in a clear, concise and compelling manner to other people
- Ability and skill to create reports, and review reports created by others, for various audiences as relevant, in a lucid and effective manner, keeping in mind the purpose of reports
- Ability to work with guidelines and processes in place for producing marketing content
- Ability to cultivate and sustain positive interpersonal connections, fostering trust, collaboration, and effective communication to support enduring professional relationships
- Ability to identify, address, and navigate opposition or reluctance effectively, fostering a collaborative environment and facilitating positive outcomes in the face of resistance
- Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance corporate reputation and stakeholder relations. Proficient in aligning corporate affairs strategies with organizational goals and values, while navigating complex business environments and regulatory landscapes. Demonstrated expertise in crisis management, public relations, and communication strategies to safeguard corporate reputation and promote long-term sustainability
- Ability to design and build web pages, including layout, content production, editing, and graphic design
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $140,400- $171,600.
