ERP Project RTR Analyst

The ERP Project RTR Analyst is a member of the ERP Major Projects organization. The position is responsible for delivering RTR (Record to Report) solutions leveraging business processes, industry expertise, and SAP knowledge in support of ERP Major Projects (S4 Technical Upgrade, ECC Migration, etc.).

 

 Responsibilities May Include:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with systems integrator, IT, and business stakeholders on requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor in both SAP and business best practices for finance and accounting.
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement and optimization to design future state business processes aligned with SAP best practices.
  • Identify and present solution options to support the business decision-making process.
  • Ensure that SAP configuration aligns with defined business processes.
  • Effectively manage tasks assigned to offshore counterparts and junior consultants to ensure on-time deliverables.
  • Ensure appropriate testing of configuration and development is complete and documented prior to handover to IT Ops support and business support.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor progress in area of responsibility, identify risks, and provide mitigation plans.
  • Prepare, schedule, and lead workshops to demonstrate SAP best practices and identify business requirements.
  • Prepare and present documentation used for training and support.
  • Gather requirements for automation efforts (system integrations, RPA, conversions, etc.).
  • Provide support to internal audit for any control changes or testing.
  • Coordinate and work closely with other work streams.
  • Complete other duties as needed or assigned, as an individual contributor or part of the team.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, MIS, or related Information Technology field
  • 7 to 10 years of strong hands-on experience in the following areas of SAP S/4 HANA:
    • Financial Structure Master Data (Cost Centers, Profit Center, GL, etc.)
    • FICO
    • Asset Management
    • Materials Management
    • Payables and Receivables Management
    • Intercompany
    • Journal Entry
  • Functional experience in the following areas:
    • Finance Closing & Controls
    • SOX Controls
    • Volumetric Accounting
    • Gross Margin Accounting
    • Book to Physical Reconciliation
    • Inventory Accounting
    • FP&A
    • Tax
  • Proficient (perform the skill with limited assistance) with Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Able to work independently, self-motivated with strong customer relationship skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • SAP certification in FICO is preferred
  • Understanding of Blackline Journal Entry Uploads, Reconciliations, and CVP Workflows
  • Experience in SAP ALM in building/executing test scripts
  • Experience in SAP MDG
  • Experience working on M&A and divestiture projects
