The Director, New Technologies is part of the Midstream Digital Innovation and Technology team and is responsible for leading the ideation, development and implementation of Midstream innovation projects. The Midstream Digital Innovation and Technology team operates in service to achieving Midstream strategic objectives including driving operational excellence, workforce enablement and enhanced returns,
This role will champion innovation and partner with internal and external partners to identify and implement fast-paced initiatives. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong Midstream operational knowledge, business acumen and experience working with new technologies. The candidate must exemplify strong communication skills and executive presence.
Responsibilities may include:
- Aligning business goals with digital solution opportunities; establishing business cases and driving the implementation and adoption of solutions across the organization
- Delivering business value and producing high-quality results
- Tracking and analysis of technology and industry trends to identify new opportunities to deliver business goals and growth strategies
- Building strong working relationships with leaders, business partners, and SMEs across the organization
- Collaborating/engaging a broad range of stakeholders in the advancement of the project
- Driving multiple fast-paced projects and initiatives
- Collection and interpretation of data and information to drive changes and optimization efforts
- Promoting a general interest mindset regarding the adoption and implementation of solutions
- Assisting with and appropriately managing the business’s budget development
- Coordinating resources and suppliers to complete projects and work requests
Required:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology or related field
- 3 or more years of industry experience including operations, project management, logistics, and/or technical in Downstream, Midstream or Transportation
Preferred:
- 3 or more years of experience in field operations
- 3 or more years of experience in project management
- 2 or more years of experience in Information Technology discipline
- Experience with PI Historian systems, cloud data solutions, analytics platforms and technologies
- Proven ability to lead and leverage cross-functional resources
- Strong facilitation skills - ability to manage upwards and help secure understanding, ownership and commitment
- Ability to create an environment of inclusiveness and open communication
- Active learner with base Midstream business knowledge
- Ability to manage and perform multiple tasks concurrently
Midstream
Phillips 66's Midstream business is a safe, reliable and trusted logistics provider for the movement and storage of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 22,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
