The Director, Corporate Real Estate, is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing complex real estate operations, transactions, and portfolio management activities that support business objectives. This role drives operational excellence, strengthens processes, and leads a high-performing team while leveraging technology and data to improve efficiency, visibility, and decision-making across the real estate function.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee and manage a multifaceted organization responsible for real estate transactions, property tax, and the Right of Way Center of Excellence, which includes Operations Support, Transaction Support, and Maps, Plats and Title. Ensure all activities are aligned with business objectives and adhere to established risk tolerance.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team, providing leadership, coaching, and direction while fostering accountability, collaboration, and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, operational discipline, and implementation of scalable tools, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Champion the use of AI, automation, and digital tools to streamline workflows, improve data quality, and enhance reporting and knowledge management.
  • Provide strategic oversight for contract management, negotiation, execution, and project delivery, maintaining strong partnerships with legal, finance, operations, tax, and environmental teams.
  • Oversee a significant operational area, establishing workflows, policies, and governance that improve consistency, cycle times, and service delivery across the real estate portfolio.
  • Manage financial planning activities including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and performance tracking to support sound business decisions.

 

What You’ll Bring – Required

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience in real estate, project management, or a related field
  • 5 or more years of leadership experience managing teams and delivering strategic initiatives

 

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

  • 10 or more years of leadership experience managing teams and delivering strategic initiatives
  • Advanced degree such as a Master’s or equivalent experience
  • Experience in corporate real estate within a complex, asset-intensive, or regulated industry
  • Strong background in process improvement, operational excellence, and implementing scalable standards and workflows
  • Experience applying AI, automation, or digital tools to improve business processes and efficiency
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and problem-solving in complex environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex contracts, projects, and operational processes
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders across multiple business areas

 

Compensation Range 

This position has a base salary range of $220,500 - $269,500.

Where a candidate offer falls within the posted range depends on the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
