As Counsel, Litigation, you will play a key role in providing legal guidance and support across the organization, with a focus on litigation matters. You will partner with business leaders and internal stakeholders to manage legal risk, resolve disputes, and deliver practical, business-oriented legal solutions that support company objectives.
What You’ll Do
- Provide legal support for a broad range of litigation matters.
- Manage primarily defense litigation dockets.
- Develop case strategies, case plans, and budgets.
- Oversee and direct outside counsel.
- Conduct risk analyses and provide recommendations.
- Ensure effective cost management aligned with business priorities.
- Represent the company in mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and court proceedings.
- Support dispute resolution through negotiation, settlement, or trial as appropriate.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders to deliver clear legal advice.
- Guide business decision-making and recommend appropriate courses of action.
- Draft and review legal documents.
- Interpret policies, laws, and regulations.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients.
- Manage complex legal issues and provide practical, business-focused solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in legal processes and overall service delivery.
What You’ll Bring – Required
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the State of Texas or another appropriate jurisdiction
- 5 or more years of litigation experience managing complex legal matters

- Experience across a variety of litigation areas such as contract disputes, environmental, employment, or personal injury law
- Strong mediation, negotiation, and advocacy skills with the ability to influence outcomes
- Experience managing discovery processes, including electronic discovery
- Ability to effectively collaborate across teams and build strong internal client relationships
- Experience using technology or AI-enabled tools to enhance legal work and decision-making
- Proven ability to develop strategies, improve processes, and contribute to organizational effectiveness
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within broadly defined objectives
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and legal project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $175,500 - $214,500.
