The Commercial Accounts Manager plans, secures, and markets adequate supplies of energy commodities to meet the company's needs. Identifies opportunities for and creates new relationships while maintaining and growing established relationships. Actively grows and maintains current supply and sales agreements with customers.  Designs and aggregates forecasts of needed supply, transportation requirements and available storage of natural gas or natural gas liquids.  

 

Responsibilities to include:

  • Maintains awareness of larger commodity environment, and brings that knowledge to regional forecasts, customer, vendor, transportation and storage agreements, and contracts
  • Independently develops long-term supply agreements regarding transportation and storage arrangements
  • Advises on company policies and procedures and ensures all contracts and transactions are conducted within both prescribed legal and the company policies and procedures
  • Collaborates with the Commercial and Trading functions to determine pricing and terms of new contracts
  • Identifies and executes on new long-term supply opportunities and assists in determining prices and contract terms for profitable transactions in partnership with the Commercial and Trading functions
  • Negotiates gas purchase or natural gas liquids marketing contracts with customers as well as with transportation organizations and storage operators as required
  • Administers and monitors existing purchase and sale contracts
  • Identifies projects and / or activities that will improve current processes, then leads those projects or has accountability for ongoing activities or objectives coming from that identification
  • Is accountable for accurate and timely financial analysis, project approvals, ongoing customer engagement, and sets strategy within their region to support the company’s purpose across the organization
  • Leads, mentors, and actively shares knowledge across the Commercial organization
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or a similar degree 
  • A minimum of 7 years related experience is required although employees typically have 10-12 years; oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently to drive results as well as part of a team
  • Occasional travel will be required

 

Midstream

 

Phillips 66's Midstream business is a safe, reliable and trusted logistics provider for the movement and storage of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 22,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
