The Advisor III, Regulatory & Export Compliance plays a critical role in enabling safe, compliant, and efficient global business growth. This individual contributor role applies regulatory and compliance expertise to interpret complex external requirements and translate them into practical, risk-based processes that support operations across the business.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead regulatory and export compliance activities for products sold in global markets, including chemical substance and mixture registrations, product stewardship, and trade compliance.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on regulatory frameworks, providing guidance to internal stakeholders and coordinating with suppliers, consultants, and external representatives to maintain compliant market access.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training programs aligned with regulatory requirements and business needs.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and prepare required filings and reports to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support audits and investigations and provide regulatory expertise as needed.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate regulatory, financial, or commercial risks, driving continuous improvement through effective use of digital tools and data.

 

What You’ll Bring – Required

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3 or more years of experience in regulatory compliance, product stewardship, audit, or trade compliance within the chemical, petroleum, or lubricants industry
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise or regulatory systems

 

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, life sciences, or a related field
  • Direct experience with lubricants, petroleum products, or formulated chemicals
  • Broader knowledge of global regulatory frameworks beyond core requirements
  • Professional certifications in regulatory affairs, product stewardship, or compliance
  • Experience delivering training or leading cross-functional compliance initiatives
  • Familiarity with SAP, regulatory databases, and reporting or analytics tools
  • Working knowledge of global chemical regulations and export/customs compliance requirements
  • Ability to interpret regulations and apply them in an operational, risk-based manner
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to influence across functions

 

Compensation Range 

This position has a base salary range of $125,100- $152,900.

Where a candidate offer falls within the posted range depends on the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
