Description 
The Consultant,Closing and Control is mainly responsible for the S4 Material Ledger Close and inventory valuation process. The role also includes the responsibility for ensuring volumetric movements of products are properly recorded in SAP and the Charge & Yields for all US Refineries are accurately completed. 

 

Primary Responsibilities 
•    Perform Material Ledger Closing and all associated checks in a timely and accurate manner 
•    Review and approve all monthly Replacement Reserve pricing calculations 
•    Review and approve all necessary journal entries and associated processes for monthly inventory valuation 
•    Resolve material field overflow errors for business units in a timely manner 
•    Liaise between accounting/finance and IT for issues associated with volume and value in MM and FI ledgers 
•    General Ledger Account Reconciliations for Inventory Accounts 
•    Review and approve inventory during the monthly close process, which includes ensuring the Automated Charge & Yield is properly updated 
•    Review and approve volumetric reconciliations in Blackline 
•    Communicate unreconciled issues to the appropriate parties to promote resolution 
•    Build relationships and partner with Refining, Commercial, Movement Capture Analysts, Billing, Transportation, FP&A, Managed Service Provider, and various other groups 
•    Maintain Volumetric Applications: PI Asset Framework (PIAF), Fence Line Yield (FLY), Automated Charge & Yield (ACY), PowerBI Volumetric Tie In Report 

 

Required Qualifications
•    Legally authorized 
•    Proficient/Advanced in Microsoft Excel
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a minimum of 15 Accounting hours 


Preferred Requirements
•    Working knowledge of SAP FI and MM
•    Strong communication, analytical, and reconciliation skills
•    Self-starter who prioritizes, multi-tasks, has attention to detail, and meets deadlines
•    Experience in inventory accounting and/or the oil and gas industry preferable
